I come to you with only Karate - empty hands, I have no weapons; but should I be forced to defend myself, my principles, or my honor; should it be a matter of life or death, of right or wrong, then here are my weapons – “Karate, my empty hands”.

Sensei Stephen Bevil               

Sensei Bevil has been a student of Karate for many years. He began his training in 1972 under Sensei Terry Maccarrone at the St. James dojo on Long Island, NY. When he became a 3rd Dan, Sensei Bevil opened a dojo in Mastic, NY . After running the Mastic Dojo for five years, Sensei Bevil transferred it to Sensei Maccarrone, and retired to Florida.

On November 6, 2005 Sensei Bevil was promoted to 6th Dan by Sensei Ernie Ferrara, most senior student of Master Ueshiro.

Today Sensei Bevil resides in Charlotte, NC and teaches in York SC on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:15-8:30pm. His instruction focuses on Kata, application of Kata and the secret art of Tuite.
